We’re still here & we’re not giving up, we still want to provide a service for our locals who are the only reason we have been able to survive this far.
As you know we have had to move to takeaway only, which is hard for us all but necessary in order to keep everyone safe, so for that we are thankful because everyone’s health is the priority.
SILVERWOOD CAFE has decided to continue our normal operating hours while offering a range of delicious takeaway options for you alongside our amazing elixir coffee.
What we are planning is to still include our normal single serve meals and drinks, but we also felt that there may be a benefit to offering family sized healthy, home made, gourmet meals for takeaway to the locals. This means you can order or drop by and pick up a fresh meal, ready to be heated and served at home. Or frozen for a day when you just want a healthy, amazing quality dinner with no stress. We will post our daily options made by our chef, and offer an afternoon delivery or collect anytime option.
We also know that many families are choosing to keep their children home from school, and this can be a challenge if they are anything like mine who eat all day!
With everything that is going on, whether it be parents deciding to keep their children home, or in the future the schools shutting down (even school holidays coming up). Being parents ourselves and running a business and full time job we are more than conscious of the fact of how difficult life in general is going to be.
So we would like to offer kids lunchboxes to help ease this time. We will take orders the day before and our chef will make up tasty lunchboxes for the kids so they are not running to you all day asking for snacks!!
Fresh fruit, house baked goodies, slices, wraps, savoury and sweet muffins and more. We will change them often and hopefully this may help some families as we all try and create a new routine for ourselves with these new rules.
These meals will be available for pick up each morning from 8am (subject to change if demand is high).
Further to this if you are unable to attend we will also be offering a delivery service for the school lunches. All that is required is a phone call the day before to place your child/children’s order, over the phone payment, and we will deliver the lunch packs between 7am-8am (delivery fees will apply).
All of the above changes will be implemented as of tomorrow, Wednesday 25th of March and will run indefinitely during our normal times of operations Wednesday to Sunday.
As this is all very new, we welcome any and all feedback either directly to Jess or on our Silverwood Cafe page. Please feel free to let us what you’d like to see offered & the kinds of food you would like to see us create for you.
The only way we can survive this is with the help & support of our amazing customers, so thank you for the continued support. If we can do anything to help anyone please reach out. We may even be able to source you products othesold out through our supplier, That’s what small towns are all about.
Stay tuned this afternoon for more details!
